But we'll also have random other stuff like heirloom tomatoes... TRADES I trade veggie seeds at sales or via mail - See my trade list This is my gardening website. I am a professional vocalist but one of my outside hobbies is plants and gardening & botany because, and no one really ever believes me when I say this, even really cool jobs can be a PITA if you don't do other stuff so I run a hobby nursery. Here's a link to my professional website: Ellie's Real Job: 1 & 2. I have a small collectors garden that is a project for me and it is open to the public from time to time. I sell and trade plants and miscellaneous stuff and you can also order stuff through the mail or for pickup at the plant sales in San Diego. I sell plants, horticultural supplies, and ducks (no joke). So check out my sales page for a list and dates of stuff at those. I use money from the sales to buy stuff for the garden, duck food, etc. I use money from the rareplant collection (I ship them nationwide) to get plants into botanical gardens or to fund trips out to pick plants up. I suppose you could say I am something of a serious hobbyist. After my music training I majoured in botany but I do it like other people do music - as a hobby. I try to keep my plant stuff down to about 5 hours a week. Official Ellie's Garden photographer Nikhil Sarma (he also shoots my concerts) took some shots of Lapagerias and some of the caterpillars that we fed to the ducks later. They are beautimous. Images here More being added Monday or Tuesday. |
